LEWISVILLE, Tex., TEMPE, Ariz., – August 24, 2021 – North Texas Kidney Disease Associates (North Texas) announced today that it is strengthening and expanding its footprint in Texas through a new partnership with leading physician-led, technology-enabled platform Global Nephrology Solutions (GNS). The partnership positions both organizations for growth, enabling North Texas to treat additional patients with increased capabilities and allowing GNS to scale its patient-centric, technology-enabled platform.
GNS is the nation’s leading physician-led nephrology organization and remains committed to keeping nephrologists independent, relevant and at the center of care delivery. The GNS value-based care delivery platform is driven by proprietary, predictive data analytics and clinical workflows underpinned by one of the world’s largest clinical chronic kidney disease (“CKD”) data warehouses that enables nephrologists to deliver better patient outcomes and value-based care. Building on its deep value-based experience with and participation in CMMI ESCO models, on January 1, 2022, GNS will launch CKCC value-based operations in four markets with over 10,000 covered lives, representing over $600 million of medical expense under management.
“Our mission has always been to be a premier provider of comprehensive health care services to patients with kidney disease,” said Dr. Bruce H. Baker, Chief Executive Officer of North Texas. “Partnering with GNS will allow us to positively impact more patients in the communities we serve and continue to enhance patient care through the expertise of a national partner.”
North Texas spans 11 outpatient locations, 14 dialysis centers, and 43 hospital affiliate locations, offering comprehensive care to patients with kidney disease. Kidney disease is a common chronic condition that requires ongoing, specialized care.
“North Texas Kidney Disease Associates aligns with our mission, and together, we will be able to positively impact the lives of patients in Texas,” said Rajiv Poduval, MD, FASN, Founding Chief Executive Officer of Global Nephrology Solutions. “We are thrilled to bring the practice aboard as a partner on the GNS platform.”
Together with three other practices in other markets, North Texas brings GNS’ total provider count from more than 315 to over 350. With GNS’ current footprint of more than 350 providers and 800 employees providing care across 10 states, its new partnership with North Texas is an opportunity to expand the delivery of renal care. GNS has proven to be the partner of choice for nephrologists, payers, and patients by empowering physicians and their practices through operational expertise and state-of the-art data analytics designed to deliver value-based care.
The combined network is poised to be the driver of change throughout the renal care industry.
